On January 21th we released the 6th issue of Love Love magazine – The Reflective Foto issue. In this issue we explore the perception of self and of others through images, film and photography, exploring the mirror image and the created self through the lens of all art forms: Poetry, prose, collage, illustration, photography, cartoons, interviews, articles and much more.
Love Love #6 was released with a bang at the agnès b gallery bookstore at La Fab in Paris on January 21st. During the evening the magazine’s newest Love Lover & featured artist Bibbe Hansen (NY) performed.
Bibbe Hansen was a teen actress in Warhol & Jonas Mekas movies, her father Al Hansen created and was part of the art movement Fluxus, whose art Bibbe continues to perform. Bibbe is a writer, a poet, a visual artist and musician. Her first band was The Whippets with Jan Kerouac (daughter of Jack). She is the mother of visual artist Channing Hansen & musical artist Beck Hansen.
On stage in concert was also londonian singer Gabi Garbutt, a modern feminine van Gogh of lyrical soul punk. Gabi has opened for The Libertines at l’Olympia in Paris.
Paul Shine (UK, band Dead Writers, The Poetry Brothel) then played a few fabulous songs & the evening ended in standing and dancing ovations!
